PROMOTING FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

IMPROVING QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGHOUT OUR DISTRICT

SUCCESSFUL LEADERSHIP and INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS...

throughout 15 years of volunteer service as president of the board of
Glen Oaks Village, New York City's largest garden-apartment cooperative development of 10,000 residents -- a mini-city in our district
that is home to almost 10% of its population

Solving quality-of-life and budget challenges requires fiscal responsibility and maximizing options through incentives, not mandates.

  • RECORD OF COMMUNITY SUCCESSES and FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY.  Residents were asked to rate Bob Friedrich's success as the 15-year president of the board of their 10,000-person co-op.  Their 97% Vote of Confidence is an objective measure of success achieving quality-of-life improvements while preserving fiscal discipline.

  • QUALITY-OF-LIFE INITIATIVES.  Successful advocacy and battles won with bureaucracies as a volunteer community leader, years before running for office.   Longtime Volunteerism, Community Spirit and Civic Pride -- not a sense of "entitlement" to elected positions -- are what we should expect of our candidates.

  • A CANDIDATE WITH THE INDEPENDENCE TO STAND UP TO PARTY LEADERS WHO NEVER MET A TAX THEY DIDN'T LIKE.    Bob brings financial/accounting expertise and a proven record of fiscal discipline needed to promote economic growth for our District, in the wake of unbridled spending in Albany!

  • VOTERS DESERVE A REAL CHOICE in the Democratic Primary on September 14, 2010.   Our District's State Assembly seat has been controlled by the same career politicians for 36 years.   The legacy of failure in Albany includes a $9 billion budget deficit that is a result of decades of "politics as usual."   It is time for a new direction.

Candidates often make vague promises about what they will do.   My long record of community achievements and fiscal responsibility is clear, and speaks for itself.
